Hi,

I am just left BT Broadband for a different supplier, but I am finidng
that
my wireless router is telling me that it is only compatible with a BT
connection....

....does anyone know a workaround for this problem? If so could you mail
me (E-Mail Removed)

Many thanks in advance

David

you might help possible assistants if you give more details:
a) the model of the router and
b) which ISP you moved to

Bt have a generic login that can be used on their routers, normally your
username and password are required. Changing these to your username etc
should be enough.....

Do you know how to access your router directly? eg 192.168.1.1

Sounds like the Voyager 2091 router they were selling for £10 or
giving away to new subscribers ...

If it is - then there's no way to hack the firmware yet.

Good Luck

If it's the Voyager 2091, then that will only work with BT or BT Yahoo
broadband.

At the moment, there is no solution - other than to return to BT or buy a
different modem. AFAIK, there is no 'cracked' firmware to allow access to
other ISPs - that's why it was sold so cheaply!

Does anyone have an internal photo of one of these routers? Looks very
similar to the 2100 from the outside.
