Just been told by BT my line is to far from the exchange to get BB, when it
shouldnt be. They must wrap my line in circles!

Been told I will not and probably never will get ASDL.
They have cancelled my order with Pipex. Their pissy checker has told me for
the last 5mths I could get BB.

I'm totally hacked off. BT say there is no point in me trying to order a
second line......basically I've had it.

Ask Pipex for the actual line results - that might help you decide if trying
for a 2nd line is useful

The checkers are inaccurate I'm afraid until an actual test is carried out..

OK, so it's BT's fault that you chose to live where you do then?

I really get sick of reading totally unfounded complaints about BT
BT are in business to make a profit they are NOT a charitable
organization has some people seem to think they are .

BT are still a near monopoly, in some realms of the telecommunications
industry, and as such, should provide a service to the masses, not
just to what gives them most profit.

Sorry, what planet were you from again ?

That would be true if BT were still Post Office Telephones and the Post
Office wasn't a private company, but alas privatisation means that they
need to make money.

But if it wasn't making a profit back those days the exchequer just
handed them a good few thousand of OUR money to keep them going
now BT's customers have to bale them out if needed not every tax payer
in the country .
>but alas privatization means that they need to make money

And its time everything was privatized then we could all pay less tax
Ah but I forgot we have all got Mr Brown son to provide for now has
the big Scotch twit been round to the PO to collect his family
allowance yet !! .
