Dear all

I am currently with Pipex, as many of you know Pipex recently offered to
doubled the speed of their customers connection (if your line can take
it) for free. The question is when?

I have phoned Pipex who said they don’t know it’s down to BT !!

My questions are what are the upgrades required?

What is BT schedule?

I have heard anything from a few weeks until August. If it’s August I
might as well either cancel my Pipex connection or pay the £15 fast
upgrade fee.

If it’s a few weeks I may wait.

Thanks
Andrew

Flip a switch at the exchange - some can even be done remotely.

Don't know - and neither do pipex yet.

If the schedule was known everyone could make this decision - but it ain't,
so either pay the £15 or wait and hope.

What is this £15 fast upgrade fee? Haven't heard of it... Can't see it
anywhere on Pipex's website.

Thanks,
Tom

I'm on their 250k service and got an email today about the price reduction.
It also included this:

"Maybe you fancy going even faster - well, don't forget the speed boost
button which will let you burst through to 512kbps. Better still, if you're
thinking of making the jump to a faster speed on a permanent basis, now is
the time to upgrade to one of the new PIPEX Lite 2000 products for a one off
fee of just £15 (inc of VAT)*. You can do all this in a few clicks via My
PIPEX by visiting www.pipex.net"

"* Subject to survey. A small number of customers have lines that will not
support 2Mbps services, in this situation the service will be provided at
1Mbps or 512Kbps"

I don't know if this £15 fee is a generally available one or whether it
relates to the fact I'm still within my initial 12 month contract.

login to "my pipex" - it is under "upgrade" or "change package" or something
like that.
