Commenting on BT's speed increase, altoHiway exec Chris Wood said that far
from being a customer benefit, BT's offer was a "repackaging of mainly
consumer grade ADSL offerings, dressed up as a business service".
Considering consumers can get 2mbit for less than 2 quid a month
in third world countries, and with Bulldog relauching its complaint
for poor service, its better to send the BT execs
to third world with cap in hand to beg them to teach them something
about operating a telco business.
Additionally, it would be better it was broken up
and each bit like exchanges and local loop were operated
by separate operators after putting in competitive tenders
for each section of the telecommunications delivery
and infrastructure components.
