I have successfully set up my wireless network. It's all working fine, in
fact it's very impressive, there's just one tiny thing. When I first turn on
my pc's i don't connect automatically to the internet. i have to log into
the netgear router and just click the apply button underneath my log in
settings.

is there a short cut that i'm missing that will automatically ensure the
machines connect at switch on?

i want the wife and kids to be able to turn the pc on and get online
straight away without me being there.

i have not installed the bt software, would that help?

are you saying the netgear does not have an ADSL connection until you
"apply" your login settings - ie its status is "offline" or something.

Is this because it has a timeout set.

from your description your question is "how do I get my router to stay
connected to the internet". If there was a PC problem you wouldn't be
able to connect to the netgear from a PC.

no.
