Does BT do a "line box" with a built-in micro-filter?

There is a modified faceplate for the master socket, which BT fit if you
have a BT-installed rather than DIY ADSL setup. This has a built-in filter
and 2 output sockets - one for the phone and one for ADSL. Any telephone
extension wiring kroned into the back of this faceplate is automatically
filtered.

I don't think that you can buy them from BT for DIY use - but you can buy
the equivalent from Solwise or Clarity. You can also get a modified version
from Clarity which enables a digitial extension to be kroned into the back
of the faceplate, doing away with the need to plug a digital extension lead
into the front.

Or for a filtered slave socket, Maplin do this :

AA4CA, a filtered slave socket / ADSL outlet combination. Use 16mm
pattress box.

I can tell you that the modified ADSL faceplate from clarity is
working great for me. It filters all the voice extensions at source,
no messy filters hanging from sockets (and I would have needed six).
The spare two wires in the extension wiring cable are used to take the
ADSL to the computer room upstairs from the A & B terminals on the
faceplate (Connect these 2 wires to the middle two pins of an rj45
socket for your modem's rj11 cable to plug into).
