BT Home Hub stuck

Friend,s BTHH (white) has misbehaved twice in the last few days.
Connected browsers say can't connect to it. After pulling the plug and
restarting the hub you get a different message saying the internet is
not connected. At this point you have to log into the hub and kick it
and it all comes back until next time.

Anyone?

More like cold related. It's in the garage - for some odd reason that
is where the NTE5 is :-)
