Trying to help a friend out. We relocated his home hub next to the
master socket to get a speed improvement. Unfortunately his MS is
located in the garage - So the phone charger is a bit of a problem :-)

I noticed that the phone charger bit has it's own power supply - Can
the charger part be removed from the hub?

TIA

If you mean the base/stand...then yes it pulls straight out & your
'friend' should have a piece of plastic to fill the hole which is
left...

unless you are using a faceplate adsl filter that terminates the adsl at the
msterocket, the speed will be the same, whatever extension you run it from.
