Going back to BT. (before anyone says not to, I was with them before and
had a flawless service so have no reason not to use them again).

Now about this home hub, anyone here using it? Any issues I should be aware
of?
I am happy with my router, do I have to use the home hub?

It was purely on a financial basis, I wanted a cheaper service to save some
money but it hasn't really worked out.

A friend who I 'support' has one. Can't say I'm overly impressed. Lots of
reboots required, flaky wireless performance, an admin interface that
believes interface=obfuscate.

Apart from that, it's fine

Thankyou. I might just stick to my plain old router then :-)

Looks like I will not be moving after all. BT now have a crappy system
whereby the broadband can only be billed by direct debit along with the
phonebill. They cannot be seperate. Seeing as my mum pays the phonebill
and I pay the broadband, BT have lost a customer.

Thats one of the reasons why I've left BT and gone to Sky Broadband for £10
a month!

I am Unhappy that I have to pay BT BB still evan though I won't be useing
it.

Think the best thing to do is change the package down to option one and pay
them a rip off amount of £17.99 a month (£53.97p every 3 months)

She doesn't pay by DD either, she pays by payment card weekly.

They're not that bad. The wifi bit can be flaky due to auto channel
allocation. I set it to use a manually allocated channel and it's been
remarkably stable ever since.

My connection has been up for 5 days - the last restart was for a
firmware upgrade from what I can tell.
