hi all

i have a BT HG 1800 wireless router, it is about 12m away, i get very poor
signal strength.

Can i use some sort of booster ?

It is possible to get repeaters, but at 12mtr away I would check everything
else first as they are not cheap......

First thing to investigate would be what is in between the 2 points of
communication, if it's foiled backed plaster board, or a wire screened
plaster wall you will have problems as the metal will effectively block your
signals...

Check your setup as well before paying out any more money, I have known an
aeriel not quite screwed in fully to cause major problems...

12 metres is a very small distance I can get at least 3 times that passing
thru 2 agregate walls & 2 breeze block walls on the way.....
