Bt faceplate replacement query

Hi,
I have replaced my original Bt faceplate with a "filtered adsl" one from
Tamar communications.
As there are no hardwired extensions I have a Siemens digital phone and two
Sky boxes plugged into a 3way adapter which is then plugged into the
faceplate telephone side and router in adsl .
I am wondering if this is the right way to set up as I have no wiring into
the faceplate other than just its plug into the test socket.
My noise margin is not great at 6.1 but goes up to 7.3 if using direct into
test socket.
Line attenuation is poor at 62.0db but this was 59.00 until placed on Skys
new phone service two months ago!
Connection shows 3712kbps but downloads seem slow as do pages on browser
loading. It was better over 12 months back.
I am in the midst of a query with sky over this but they are dragging their
feet a bit in replying.
I wondered if anyone might say if the faceplate setup is right before I
pursue?
Thanks.
Stuart.

That sound correct if a little untidy :-)

What happens to your BB speeds if you un-plug all the 'phones?

Well its much the same - - - It showed noise at 7.6 for the time I left it
unhooked to the phone and sky boxes.
I say for the time as I could not leave the phone unconnected for too long.
I am unsure if it might be that it would also drop over time.
The wiring is pretty much hidden behind my pc desk

I think he means there is no extension wiring to the faceplate and the faceplate is
plugged into the test socket as normal.

Other than neatness, there will be no advantage over a good microfilter.
