BT Yahoo have just sent out their latest email reducing the price for
a 512K connection from £29.99 per month - to £27.99 per month.

For that reduction, you get a bandwidth reduction from unlimited to
15GB per month. Not exactly a good deal huh. No more unlimited from
BT.

I am just so pleased I have a termination date with them for 9 July
and escape to Bulldog 2MB for £22.99 per month. A saving currently of
£7 per month, for a connection 4x faster and unlimited downloads. It
wasnt too hard a choice to make!

Hmm - Bulldog's 1MB Primetime product is 22.99.

The 2MB one is £29.99 ?

The BTYahoo £ 19.99 ADSL package provides subscribers with a generous 1
MB/month usage cap.
This must be designed for people who want Internet access in their home yet
never want to use it. There's no doubt that BTYahoo have lost the plot.

Where are you getting the price £22.99 for a 2MB connection??? It gives that

Just been speaking to Vispa.net about BB access and have been told that BT
want to also put caps on their retail offerings, i.e. those supplied to
other telecoms companies, so these caps may soon affect other suppliers.

Sorry for the Spoonerism, that should read 1 GB, but you get the idea.

It was the offer they had just over a month ago when I signed up. (I
think the offer ended 8 June(?) Its the primetime deal which I think
is currently shown as £29.99. Guess I got in at the right time! ;-)

In article <cc17m4$rg6$(E-Mail Removed)>, (E-Mail Removed)
says...

In NZ, caps of 500Mb to 1Gb are very common. Then you pay 3p per meg.
And they also provide the DSL link with as fast a connection as the line
loss allows. So if you live next door to the exchange, you get an 8Mbit
service at the same rental fee as everyone else getting 512k in the
suburbs. If the bosses son installs Kazaa over the weekend, bankrupcy
proceedings can be started by the monday morning.

What is the transfer charge? If you have to pay to migrate to Bulldog,
then shouldn't you add that cost, at least for the first year, to the
bill?

If it's £50 odd then that's £4 per month extra. I am considering
Central Point at £26.99 for 1MB serice, but there is a £56 migration
charge. If I merely go over to BT 1MB serice for £1 extra per month,
that represents nearly 5 years at Central Point. It is an uncapped
service though - for the moment.

BT has a slight problem. I have mentioned about BT Broadband Voice using the connection.
My calculations are shocking. www.btbbv.tk
