What level of signal are you getting on your computer? If it's low it
may be dropping out occasionally but quickly reconnecting. That would
fit with the problem only showing when you're transferring files above a
certain size.
Since you've narrowed down the problem to your now using a wireless
connection, why not used a wired connection when uploading those files
aacs? Alternatively, ask in a networking ng about fixing the problem
with the wireless connection. Actually, thinking about it my son had a
similar problem (We use a Netgear DG834) when transferring files to/from
his laptop on a wireless connection.
