You do, I hope, have the telephones running through microfilters too?
If not (or if the filters are of marginal quality) just an incoming
call, and the ringing signal, can cause the connection to drop.
Once the connection has dropped, all sorts of little things can confuse
the modem. "training" essentially means that it's trying to reconnect.
If it doesn't do so (and I've seen misleading USB error messages start
to pop up), try disconnecting the modem's USB lead for a minute or so.
Once you have the modem showing the ADSL connection, you may also have
to start Dial-Up Networking.
