BTbroadbandoffice.com says "BT do not publish IP addresses of DNS servers".
They instead list four hostnames of supposed DNS servers.

Something doesn't quite compute with that

Anyhow. Customer appears to have no internet access. More specifically, the
computers can't do name lookups.

Through one of the other help files on btbroadbandoffice.com I've found two
DNS servers listed: 213.120.62.97 & 213.120.62.98.
Neither of these servers are responding to me, although I am with Demon.

Anybody else having problems?

cheers.

I've just set up a PC on a non-NAT'd router and had to trawl through BTs
website to get the dns name servers. There's 5 in all listed as:

dns01.gpn.register.com [63.251.163.102]

dns02.gpn.register.com [216.52.184.230]

dns03.gpn.register.com [63.251.83.36]

dns04.gpn.register.com [64.74.96.242]

dns05.gpn.register.com [212.118.243.118]

Thanks. I did find that list. They were the ones given by hostname and not
IP address, which is absolutely useless for a DNS server address - something
of a paradox. Interestingly some of them (at least one of them I seem to
remember) returned five different IP addresses.
