All,

Have searched through the BT Internet site, but can't find the answer.

I have a BT Broadband account, with that I doubt have access to a dial up,
for back-up purposes.

1) What is this number?

2) As I pay nearly £30, is there a free phone number I can use?

I'm away from home for a couple of days and have access to a laptop, so
would be useful (as I will be in a hotel) to have a free phone number to
use.

Cheers,

Steve

0845 756 0000 was working as of November `02 - that`s the last time I
updated my "emergency" ring binder :-}

If you want a backup dial-up account
Look at adial.co.uk also known as uk2net
They have pay as you go dial-up without setting up an account on an 0845
number.
Only restriction is you must disclose the CLI (Caller Line Identification)
by prefixing the 0845 609 1370 number with 1470 to disclose your number from
ex-directory lines.
Work well as a backup
