I know someone who has recently signed up for bt broadband basic they
got activated last week thursday but havent been able to install the
software onto their computer (windows 98se) The modem is a BT voyager
105 usb.

Can anyone tell me if bt broadband basic requires a username and
password i have read the instruction book that came with the
installation cd and it says no password is required.

Anyone have experience with this? any help would be much appreciated

Thanks du.

The username is of the form :-

(E-Mail Removed)

password :-

username

where 'username' is anything they choose, it is not used. As long as
@btbroadband.com is there in the login ID.

There should be no probs installing the 105.

ISTR that the BT package comes with a CD -Rom and an instal booklet.
Does RTFM help. I have details of BT's more expensive BB with voyager
205 and some RTFM before install has provided several faultless
installations, and no failures.

Thanks for everyones help i went to the bt voyager website yesterday
downloaded the latest drivers, went around and installed them without
any hassle so it may have been a faulty disc.
