BT BB Voice and Grp3 Fax

Is the BT Broadband voice service good enough to use a fax machine on.
Either in 9ks or 14.4k modes.

I could just buy the fax and try it, but Argos might not take to kindly to
me testing my line with their goods.

what speed did the fax connect at 9.6 or 14.4

Windows XP fax console... i not sure what it u use's
