Hi All,
I been having a problm with firmware upgrade of an Efficient 120-5861-003 using a Windows 2000 PC. I would like to upgrade with the file 5861-001.5380 using v396.zip Configuration Manager. I have followed the excellent description on »www.uk-bug.net on how to unlock a router. I have followed all the steps, however, when I try to copy the firmware (kernel.f2k) over using the Configuration Manager I get: "11/12/2003-17:02:51:TFTPFS: TFTP server timed-out", on the Console window and on the Configuration Manager: "Error returned on the router: Can't open TFTP file for reading" I have connected to the TFTP server using a TFTP client on another PC, and it works fine. I've used a seconf TFTP server and have the same error. I've also manually used: Copy kernel.f2k tftp@192.168.254.1:kernel.f2k I've tried a BootP upgrade and it also fails, due to the TFTP, and the webpages are blocked. Can anyone please help? I include my tech support entry: === VERSION === SpeedStream 5861 DMT Router (120-5861-003) Efficient-5000 BOOT/POST V5.9.3 (25-Apr-00 16:19) Software version v4.0.1 built Wed May 3 17:52:54 PDT 2000 Maximum users: unlimited Options: DMT, RFC1483, IP ROUTING, IP FILTERING, WEB, ~IPSEC, ~3DES, ~L2TP, ~ENCRYPT, BRIDGE, IPX, ATM DEBUG Up for 0 days 0 hours 1 minute (started 11/12/2003 at 16:26) === MEMORY === Amount of RAM installed.. 4096 Kbytes Small buffers used....... 14 (2% of 656 used) Large buffers used....... 82 (11% of 700 used) Buffer descriptors used.. 96 (5% of 1695 used) Number of waiters s/l.... 0/0 Table memory allocation statistics: Sizes 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 1024 Used 3 29 20 29 2 8 8 5 Free 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 Sizes 2048 4096 8192 Used 12 8 1 Free 1 0 0 Total in use: 80040, total free: 1199884 (2120 + 1197764) === PROCESSES === TID: NAME FL P BOTTOM CURRENT SIZE 1:IDLE 02 7 2c50b0 2c5fc0 4080 18:TN [192.168.254.1:2813] 01 6 2c60e0 2c6d20 4080 3:MSFS_SYNC 02 6 2c7140 2c7840 2032 4:SYSTEM LOGGER 03 5 2ca0c0 2ca7c0 2032 5:LL_PPP 03 5 2c9090 2c9f88 4080 6:NL_IP 03 5 2cb780 2cbe80 2032 7:TL_IP_UDP 03 3 2cc000 2cc708 2032 8:TL_IP_TCP 03 3 2cc860 2ccf68 2032 9:IP_RIP 03 4 2cd0c0 2cd7c0 2032 10:TELNETD 03 5 2cd8f0 2cdfd8 2032 11 UM 03 5 2d0da0 2d1c98 408012 MT 03 6 2d3620 2d3cf0 203213:SNMPD 03 5 2d25f0 2d34f8 4080 14:BOOTP 03 5 2d54f0 2d5be0 2032 15:HTTPD 03 5 2d4120 2d4fd8 4080 16:CMD 03 6 2d6020 2d6f10 4080 === FILE SYSTEM === Filesystem 0, size=825k : Checking filesystem...
