Hello folks I have a question regarding integrating Linux into my
Windows Network, I have gotten past setting up printers and the Samba
server so my windows clients can browse out to my Linux machine but
what I am having a real hard time with is browsing to my windows
machines. Here is what I have and have done. Windows 2000 Server
domain with Windows 2003 File server, a few Windows XP clients, a
Linux File/web server and Linux acting as a workstation on my Laptop.
I have run the command lanbrowser and gotten into the LISa config
utility set everything up and I can now go into file manager and
browse my network through LANBrowser, but when I select a windows
machine it asks for a User ID and password everytime, even if I open a
connection if I click to open another folder bellow it it asks for
user name and password. How can I get it to automatically
authenticate, is there a way? Thanls in advance for any information
anyone can give me.
