Having a strange issue & hope someone has seen this before.
We have 7 subnets in a Windows 2000 AD. We just noticed the other day that
the browse list does not display any machines on one of the subnets. Other
subnets work fine. We have forced an election on that subnet, changed the
registry on 1 machine to configure the isdomainmaster under the browser
service. When doing a browstat getmaster from a machine on the subnet we
receive the error "Unable to get Master: The specified printer or disk
device has been paused".
We tried other steps as well, but hopefully you get the gist of it.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
thanks

That's really odd. I have never seen a message like that from browstat. It
seems like some non-Windows device has won the browser election.

If browstat doesn't give you the info you need, you may need to monitor
broadcasts on the segment to see what is happening.
