Hi Guys,

I seem to be constantly plagued by browser erros on some servers, such as
the two below. I have been trying to resolve these for months.

Any pointers?

Cheers.

************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ***********************

The browser service has failed to retrieve the backup list too many times on
transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{4F6DAA68-5B6A-4195-AFF4-31105203C5C7}. The
backup browser is stopping.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ***********************

The browser service was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the
browser master \\DC1 on the network
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{4F6DAA68-5B6A-4195-AFF4-31105203C5C7}.

Browser master: \\DC1

Network: \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{4F6DAA68-5B6A-4195-AFF4-31105203C5C7}

This event may be caused by a temporary loss of network connectivity. If
this message appears again, verify that the server is still connected to the
network. The return code is in the Data text box.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The most common cause is a multihomed master browser. Is DC1 multihomed,
or is it used as a remote access server?

Hi Bill, thanks for your response. It is a multihomed. It's our main
internal domain controller (one of two).
