Hi,
I am trying to make an Apache server on a basement PC accessible from the
public internet via my adsl connection with fixed public IP address. By now
it actually is: I can disconnect a PC from my LAN, connect it to the
internet via dialup modem and access the html page on the the Apache server
via my public IP address. I guess any user on the internet can do the same.
From the PCs on my LAN I can use the adsl connection to the internet and
access any IP address with a http server. But I can't access my own IP
address. I can ping it from a DOS prompt but the browser answers "page not
found". Is that what I should expect ?
