"broken pipe" errors using sftp under fc6

It seems that maybe 30 percent of the time when I sftp into a remote
site to upload some files, the transfer is interrupted and I get a
"broken pipe" message.

Any clues/hints on why this happens or how I could troubleshoot it?

These are rathy lengthy transfers (several hours). Could it be that
when the DHCP lease is renewed there's a glitch?

Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.20-1.2948.fc6 #1 SMP Fri Apr 27 19:18:54 EDT 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It's possible that due to your earlier rants, most people have killfiled
you, thus rendering you invisible.

I wasn't speaking to those who killfiled me because I wouldn't want the
response of folks who believe they have a right to abuse someone anyway.
If that is "most people," then so be it.
