Just installed a 3com one satisfactorily. It was on offer with a USB
adapter included and can also be obtained with a PC card.
If running XP make sure you have SP2 installed and that you have the
latest drivers/firmware.

That's a PCMCIA card according to the information I found - if your
laptop does not have wireless built-in then you will need something like
that, but it is not the ADSL modem/wired/wireless router you were asking
about.

I've got a D-link DSL G604T and have not had any problems once I worked
out how to drive the admin interface. The documentation is not great,
but I found a web forum at
<http://www.expansys.it/forum.asp?code=110551> that filled in the gaps.
As usual with a web forum (or a newsgroup) there are people complaining
and saying they would not buy it again. It might be worth looking for a
forum/group for whatever other products you are considering to see what
level of complaining is going on.

I'm using a netgear DG834G, works OK. Range in the house a bit
disappointing, but they all maybe like that when you have a modern house
with 'foil' lined walls !.

Tried a Belkin PCI wireless card wouldn't work with my Netgear wireless
MP101 digital music player, took it back.
