I'm returning to the UK and am considering returning to Zen but I am
also looking at BE

With Zen I know that I can have a monthly allowance of 50Gb or 100Gb (50
usually being enough for me)

Has anyone fallen foul of BE's fair use policy? if so at what monthly
download amount did this kick in?

Meanwhile, at the uk.telecom.broadband Job Justification Hearings, Count de
Monet chose the tried and tested strategy of:

Only the Value product has a cap of 40GB a month, which given that it's £7.5
seems fair enough to me.

I've never heard of anybody being kicked off, warned or billed for excessive
usage, so if they have then it's news to me. I used 120GB two months in a
row last year and they never said anything.

Exactly

Just for the record:

At the moment I am living in Greece but will return to the UK next month

I do NOT have any association with either Zen or BE

BE Value only had a 40Gb cap for a short period. It's back to unlimited
now.

In fact those that did sign up to BE Value with the 40GB cap still have
unlimited usage as the usage checker isn't yet available

I do about 150GB per month and I know some that have done a terabyte or more

The FUP has only ever once been invoked to my knowledge and that wasn't for
usage

In the early days of BE, there was an email sent out to members when the
London ring was congested to ask to curtail usage and keep downloading to
off-peak times. Nothing like that has happened since

All good here

Not me I'm on their Be Unlimited and it is just that.
