Broadband speeds

Just upgraded to 'up to 8Mb broadband' from BT, and am noticing a
difference in the download speeds reported by the BT health check
application (around 3 Mb) and the ADSLGUIDE.ORG speed checker (around
6Mb). Which is likely to be the most accurate, and why the difference.

The ADSLguide check uses a bigger file size on faster lines, and is IMO
more accurate than testers with small file sizes, but the best test is
to download a 100 MB file.
