Operating a MN-100 on an XP system with Cable Modem.

I have good internet speed and full access, but the
indication icon at lower right toolbar is "red" (no
connection) when I log on computer as guest or other than
administrator.

When logging on computer as admin all indications are
green, and actual internet accessability doesn't change.

Another related problem is WinMX will not connect to its
network unless I log on as the Admin.

What is the issue with the connection causing these
conflicting indications and inhibiting WinMX login.
