Broadband at last

My story -
apply for bb two years ago, failed the line test, managed to get the
line loss and distance from visiting engineer; 5.62km from exchange
and line loss of 58.9db - well past the 5.5km and 55db limit then.
Waitied until the extended range of 6km and 60db was introduce then
reapplied. No joy from BT. No even a move from RED to AMBER. Recording
to their records still too far from exchange. So contacted
BTWholesales with measurements, look into it as I should by right be
in AMBER. Still waiting for their reply. Meanwhile did research about
the street. Contacted BTYahoo BB, nice chap gave me each and every
house number its Broadband possibility. Interesting readin as all
telephones using my number such as 482, 482, 478 wouldn't get it but
some of the houses (like next door!!)with a different number such as
756, 735 would get BB (subject to additional tests) so ordered a new
line (£74) and made sure that I would have a new number with the
numbers featured. Engineer came and gave me a distance measurment of
5.61km, 100 metres shorter. Apply for Broadband and . . . . got it
turned on last Wednesday!!!! Speed? average 460/230 crazy uh!
My story says that BTWholesale's computer is not always right!

Your story appears to me to say that your previous line wasn't
but your new one is. No big deal in a marginal area.
