Hi I'm looking for a decent and reliable BB ISP. Efficient in price and
consistent d/l speeds at 1MB.Done some research on some of the current
ISPs. Tiscali have a history of incompetence. UK Online look
interesting. Futher comments and advantages / disadv of various ISPs
would be most helpful.
Thanks.

Have you looked at Eclipse? A little more expense buys you a much more
reliable service, been with them for 18 months plus and very happy.

UKOnline is part of Easynet, who just got bought out by Rupert Murdoch

Whether that is a good or bad thing remains to be seen. UKOnline also
has no Usenet service.

A useful site for comparing ISPs is ADSL Guide.
