Hi all,
I want to get broadband but am not keen on the 12 month contract thing; I
really don't know if I want to keep something for that long when the service
may get crap and I'm stuck with it!
Can anyone advise on an ISP that doesn't have a 12 month contract? Also, are
Demon any good regarding broadband and reliability of their service?
Thanks a lot.

Quite few ISP's don't require 12 months contract, but switching providers is
costly a potentially troublesome.
I would recommend PlusNet, at £18.99 (£21.99 if you need P2P and / or
binaries) they are one of the cheapest,
yet they have recently won awards for service and reliability.
If you do go with them please use my 'jerryw' id as referrer and save me few
pence, thanks.
Regards,
Martin

Eclipse (www.eclipse.net.uk) offer monthly contracts with cheque or
credit card payments. I have been with them for 9 months now, tech
support were very good the only time I had to contact them. They are
always one of the fastest providers according to www.adslguide.org.uk ,
which is a good site to start looking at providers.

"With Boltblue broadband you're free to choose a 12-month contract with
preferential fees or 'No Ties' so you're free to move whenever you want."

Some people have voiced concerns about their service - the only two days
I've had problems has been down to BT and the Boltblue helpdesk bodies have
been very good.

Mentioning my name will not get me a discount <grin> but for more info see:-
www.boltblue.com

Cheers

I use Plusnet and have a monthly contract. If I want to stop using there
service then I only need to give 30 days notice. I have been very pleased
with the service they have provided.
