Well I finally got t'broadband today. However it's not been without
problems.

My WiFi card is late in the post so I've had to bodge together a 10m
cable with some old telephone wire and sellotape. To add to my woes,
the monkey responsible for activating the line has left me without
voice calls (get no tone on the line) so it'll probably be another few
days until it's solved. This has caused some kind of problem in the
line (probably due to noise or attenuation) whereby the connection is
very intermittent, sometimes up and down every few seconds, sometimes
it connects for tens of minutes or even several hours, othertimes not
at all.

When it has worked though, the results have been good, I connect at
around 17/18mb down and 1.2 up, but I AM only 700m from, the exchange.
The router is working well so far without problems. So typically the
first thing I did was change the admin password and then forge what the
admin username was (Administrator) and then end up having to reset it.
It seems to work fine with the factory settings though.

But if some kind soul could send me their saved configuration file I'd
appreciate it ((E-Mail Removed))

What's the point in having 15-20ish d/l when they will cut your
service once you d/l too much - the terms and conditions show they lie
calling it unlimited - it's fair-use and capped, with a disconnect
once you cross the magical d/l limit - which is not given. Since 2Mb/s
is good for 18GB+ a day, you could bring hundreds of GB's down in a
day - will they like that - no.

Yeah but still. What would you rather have. 100GB cap with 2Mb or 100GB cap
with 15+Mb. I know what I'd rather choose. When I had 512Kb then 1Mb then
2Mb my download figures each month hasn't changed. What I like about faster
speeds is I can get what I want, when I want so much quicker. That upstream!
I'd kill for that!

I got connected to BE today - here are a couple of speed tests:

1. with Bulldog a couple of days ago:
http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/sp...4df16f8590675b

2. initial result from BE:
http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/sp...d625359c8bcde9

I am about 0.73 miles from Tulse Hill exchange in South London.

The initial result from BE doesn't look very good :-(

Check reviews before using Bulldog, they are a terrible ISP.

It took 3 weeks to connect, worked for 2 weeks, then broke, I've now
been without a phone for 3 weeks Bulldog have done nothing about this,
they have failed to call me back every time they have said they would
(7 times). They have given 3 dates that it would be fixed (which it
never was). Im even having trouble cancelling....

In short NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT - AND A POOR PRODUCT - I WILL
NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
