Hi,

I'm trying to search for an ISP who does broadband with 1MB (or
faster!!) with no 12 month contract, No download limit (or with as big
capacity as i can get) with little or no activation fee (cheap
please!!) and who will allow P2P. And to tip the ice berg preferably
under £35 a month.

I'm probably asking for the impossible like but i can live in hope.
Dial up is more than pathetic. If 512k is the best deal i can get then
so be it but i'm hoping to get better than that.

Also can i have ppls opinions on some of the ISP's. Was looking at
plus net but put off cause i'm not sure if they allow P2P.

All Info is much appreciated!

Thanks in Advance!

Aly

Have a look at xifos, im seriously considering them, 60 quid to sign up,
but only 26 quid per month for their 1 meg service 20 quid for 512k and
only a 1 month no ties contract, with no download limits, seems to have a
good users support forum also.

I live in hope for what you describe you want here daily

you can get loads of cheap 1 meg deals but like you have noticed they are
most are 12 month contracts (

Plusnet IMO has an almighty high activation if you want a monthly contract
and i hear the news service is going downhill a bit, plus they currently
are having outgoing email issues with some customers (

hi-velocity may be worth a look (not sure if they are 1 or 12 month
contacts though) and pipex give a free modem and no activation charge with
their service, but again if you want out in the first 12 months you do have
to pay a charge.

Try ZEN. They have 1 month contracts, do 1mb and have no limitations on
bandwidth.

I was going to say Zen too - as that's who I use. The price drops to
34.99 from 1 November for Home 1000, and you can have a /29 routed IP
block with no formalities whatsoever if it's useful to you.

The only thing on the original poster's list that they don't meet is
cheap / no activation fee - the activation fee is 58.75, as that's what
Zen are charged by BT Wholesale. You pay that online, along with your
first month's service charge.

No idea about their P2P friendliness - I don't use P2P at all.
