Bridging wrt54g to wgt624

Interesting problem. Using the satori 4.x firmware on the Linksys
wrt54g and putting it into client mode, the pc connected to it worked
fine with the wgt624 as the AP (after a lot of fiddling with the
settings based on other forum/usenet posts). However, as soon as I
tried WPA (tkip, since that's all netgear supports on this router, no
aes) and wep (128) using the same passphrases on the wpa or the same
key on the wep, they wouldn't connect anymore. Is this a broken
router (its a v1 on the wrt), or will they not connect using wep or
wpa? Thanks!
