Hi,

I am struggling to share my wireless internet connection with another
PC via crossover ethernet - as soon as I enable the LAN connection, I
can't ping the wireless router, despite the wireless connection not
dropping. Its like the LAN connection takes total precedence over the
wireless.

Wizards dont help, and when I attempt to bridge the two connections, I
cant ping a thing.. if anyone can suggest a cure then they are a
legend. Please feel free to request any more info. If I included it all
now it would be three pages long and would scare you all off..

Cheers
Matt

so this is wireless internet access - PC - other PC via Xover ?

using ICS on the middle PC ? never made bridging work, personally.

what IP addresses do router and PC1s two interfaces, and PC2 have ?

Hi Phil -

Thanks but I sorted it in the end. For some reason the IP range was
clashing with the 192.168.0.1 address that ICS tries to assign the LAN
card.. that IP wasnt being used but as soon as I gave the wireless
router a different IP range it shared fine. Wierd, but as long as it
works i'm happy.

Cheers for the help

Matt

was the wireless router also 192.168.0.x ? that would prevent it
routing.
