Bridging 2 locations with Wireless

I have 2 rooms with a bunch of computers in each - and
I want to connect both rooms via Wireless 54g.

1 solution would be to have a Wireless Access Point in
Room A (containing a DHCP Router), and wireless PCI
cards installed in each computer in Room B.

ALTERNATIVELY, is it possible to have a Wireless Access
Point in each room, each connected to a switch,
connecting each computer using a normal NIC?

i.e. Is the following possible....(use fixed fonts)

Modem Comp Comp Comp Comp Comp Comp
| \ | / \ | /
DHCP Router -> Switch -> WAP ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ WAP <- Switch
/ | \ / | \
Comp Comp Comp Comp Comp Comp

Or would I need something outer than a WAP?

Of course, it would be much easier to run a cable between
both rooms - but by the time I buy the cable/tools/panels
I'm wondering if it would be easier to buy 2 WAPs

Regards, Darren

You should be able to connect a wireless-to-ethernet bridge to each
switch and have it function as if it were a cable between the two - but
from about £60 each it would be a lot cheaper to run the cable, and the
wireless will only run at 11Mb/sec anyway.

It's also a fair bit harder to interfere with the cable when someone
uses a hairdryer, microwave, TV repeater, etc and, symetrically, you
are less likely to interfere with anyone's favorite tv, radio or
hairdryer. okay - part of that may be exageration.

Rule of thumb - if you can run a cable, it will almost certainly do
the job you really want done better, and usually for considerably less
money.
