Bridge amplifies signal?

My neighbor has a wireless router that I get a strong signal/great
reception from when in the front of my condo. When I move to the back
room, the signal is very weak. If I install a bridge and wireless
router in the front of my unit, will it increase the signal enough to
improve reception in the back room?

Does a bridge function as a signal amplifier?
Neighbor is aware I use his network.
