We currently boot pc's from a command line to a novell server in order
to bring down an image using Ghost or Powerquest. We can boot to a
win98 dos prompt load the novell files:

lsl
ne2000 or 3c90x
ipxodi
vlm

and then we can log onto the novell server and pull down the image.

We are moving to Windows servers and getting rid of novell but still
need to boot from a dos prompt to the servers. The new servers can be
accessed through IP.

How do you connect from dos/win98 to a windows server in order to
access the files/info on the server?

Thanks in advance.

Use a boot disk with network card support. Use NET USE at the command line
to map a drive.
