Hi,

I have configured a vpn dial-in access to a WIN2003 server via telephone
line. I have 56kbps usb modem installed on win2003 server to accept dial-in
request.

The dialing pc also has 56kbps modem. When I connect, I only get a speed of
not higher than 28.8kbps. How can boost this connection to be able to
utilize the 56kbps speed available on both modems?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Garry

You can't... 56K requires a digital interface at the recieving end...Only
good for ISP's who support it.

I agree. From modem to modem the absolute max is 33.6 . So 28.8 is a
pretty good result.

Where did the vpn bit come from? This sounds like ordinary RAS to me.
