BNU / Update network activity question

Evertyime I start up W2k on my laptop Zone alarm asks me the following;

Broadband Networking Utility to access local network?
MSBNUtil.exe
Destination IP: 192.168.0.254

Broadband Networking Update Utility to access local network?
MSBNUpdate.exe
Destination IP: 192.168.0.254

Broadband Networking Utility Tray Application to access the internet?
MSBNTray.exe
207.46.156.252: HTTP

Broadband Networking Update Utility to access the internet?
MSBNUpdate.exe
Destination IP: 255.255.255.255 Port: 42424

Broadband Networking Update Utility to act as a server?
MSBNUpdate.exe
Source IP: 0.0.0.0 Port 42424

Broadband Networking Utility to access the internet?
MSBNUtil.exe
Destination IP: 207.46.245.92: HTTP

Broadband Networking Utility to act as a server?
MSBNUtil.exe
Source IP: 0.0.0.0 Port 42424


I am confident that nothing fishy is going on but I am curious as to whats
going on here? Specifically the connection to 207.46.245.92? And the
services binding to port 42424?

The IP's are for microsoft.com -- automatic updates
turned on? Also used to check Internet connection
available.
