hey all

i've got a problem with my linksys BEFSR41 router on blueyonder.
periodically (approximately once per day) it loses it's IP address, it
resets to 0.0.0.0 and i have to unplug the cable modem and reset the
router to get a new IP again.

any idea why this might be? i don't mind, the router is in testing at the
moment but ultimately i want it to be a part of a relatively resiliant
system which doesn't require resetting each day..

any thoughts appreciated !thanks! tom

I use the same router with Telewest and have no problem, however my PCs are
shut down at night, although the router isn't.

yes, i think this seems likely too, but i don't know why.

i cloned a mac address from an already registered NIC.. is this bad?

1.44.2

well that was as i expected. i've got a wap11 and it's been brilliant for
me, so i figure once i work through the teething problems for this it'll
be rockin!

cloning point) - help much appreciated, i'll check out the blueyonder
