Hi - thinking of moving from AOL to Blueyonder, but don't want to move to an
ISP with the same kind of restrictions (no VPN, no Outlook etc.)

Is Blueyonder the same as e.g. Demon, or does it still have any gotchas?

Thanks

The only drawback with blueyonder is price, you will be paying £5 or more a
month with telewest than from an ADSL ISP with similar quality, but who
offer better value for money. I would suggest looking into Plus.net, pippex,
freedom2surf etc.

There's no port restrictions in place other than some of the NetBIOS
ports, which are there due to the volumes of worm traffic floating
around the net. We may or may not take those off at some time in the
future.

Thanks for the info, thought I better check.

By the way, always reassuring to see a member of staff in the NGs.
