My daughter has a Hewlet Packard laptop with XP Home installed.
I purchased her a Mentor BlueTooth adapter so she can use her Motorola
V3's facilities; it came supplied with a Toshiba BlueTooth stack.
Owing to problems with connections I used SystemRestore to go back and
start again but when I tried to reload the BlueTooth disk it advised
that a Toshiba BT stack was already installed.
The HP laptop had a BlueTooth icon on the task bar but clicking on it
brought the message that I did not have a license for it, I browsed to
a WIDCOMM folder and found a 'license' file with the correct extension
but I then got the message 'Cannot install an older BlueTooth over a
newer version'.
I think I may have a conflict but see no option to uninstal or disable
the BlueTooth.
Any advice would be appreciated.
