I stuck the bluetooth adapter into the USB port, loaded all the software,
drivers et al. Now the PC speaks to the phone and file transfers are a
piece of cake. The other thing I'd like to do is use my headset. We all
know each piece of hardware has a MAC address. If only I could find the MAC
address for the headset all would (probably) be good.
The bluetooth headset I have is the Sony-Ericsson HBH608. The other thing I
spotted was the headset.desktop file which seems to do 3/5ths of F__k-all.
The OS on the PC is Mandriva 2006.0. The bluetooth adapter is the DSE Class
1 USB dongle.
Has anyone successfully made the headset work? I have a suspicion that it'll
have something to do with the sound server, which in my case is a choice of
alsa or oss, connecting through the bluetooth driver.
No guesswork here please. I'd very much like to hear from you if you know
definitively what to do.
Seasons greetings
Peter
