Hi,
I'm using XP2000 SP2 with administrator's rights. When pluging in a BT
device (USB port), it is not recognised and does not appear in the device
Manager (devmgmt.msc) (no BT radio button).

In the BT device manager (bthprops.cpl) when validating any options (e.g.
check box Turn Discovery on), I receive a 'BT Service Error' message "An
error occrurred while WIndows was saving your setting. The following settings
were not saved: discoverability settings, connection settings.

To be very accurate, these problems did occur after uninstalling Logitech BT
Widcomm drivers to use the mini BT receiver in HCI mode and no longer in
embedded mode.

Since then BT connection no longer works - be it with native WP drivers or
with Widcomm drivers. Even the installation of the mini receiver fails
(device not recognised).

I'd be glad to get some clues / hints / help.....

Kindest regards,
Jean
