Bluetooth bandwidth problem with a 3G mobile phone

Hi all!

I currently have some issues with bluetooth on my laptop (Redhat 9). I
use a bluetooth link (rfcomm, l2cap, hci) to connect my 3G mobile phone
and surf on the Internet. Everything goes well, however the bandwidth
is slow (around 160 kbit/s) which is quite annoying because I could get
much more. Indeed, when I replace the bluetooth link with a USB cable
(and I set up usbserial) I have a higher bandwidth. Moreover, if I use
bluetooth for a PAN connection, the bandwidth is fine (around 600-700
kbit/s).

So, it's not a bluetooth hardware problem, but something goes wrong or
is set too low when I use bluetooth with a mobile phone.

Does someone has an idea about how to increase this bandwidth?
Thank you very much for your help,

Bastien
