I have a blue linksys DSL router and Windows
computers behind this.

If I stick a linux computer in the lan behind the
DSL router, can it obtain its ip address using
dhcp and be able to use Samba to connect
to the Windows computers?

Or do I have to give the Linux computer a fixed ip
address?
