I rang them last week to inform that we are moving home on the 29th.
Yesterday I come to check my emails and guess what, no internet. Phone Sky
support, they go through resetting the router by inserting a pen into the
small opening next to the power. Told, it takes around 20 mins, so phone
back later. So, 30 mins, lights still going crazy on the router, ring them
back (different person this time). Go through the issue again and he
immediately says my account is "pending cancellation". Transfers me to
another dept, only to find they have disconnected me!!!

When I originally phoned them I stressed I was moving on the 29th and NOT to
disconnect BB before that date.......numpties.

Anyway, going to take upto a week to reinstate BB. Great!

Get them to compensate you for their stupidity. Mind you, it not just Sky
who does this.

A number of years ago, I decided to switch my phone line from Telewest to
BT. Called TW with a cut-off date, which was in 14 days time. TW decided to
cut me off within 2 days. Complained to TW and they said "Well it was on our
list of jobs to do, and as it was an easy task, we decided to do it early
for our call stats". I was livid. I made them reconnect the phone line for
the remainder of the period and got £20.00 sweetner in the process.

I hadn't realised that the SMC was so cooperative or that $ky customer
service had improved so much...

I wonder if they'd compensate for the £6 a day in diesel I'd have to pay
due to having to go into the office each day, rather than work from
home, should this happen to me?

I do hope so as I've got to phone up for my MAC tomorrow & have to
remind them that my contract actually started in September & it was
their fault I had no service for the next 3 months & so didn't pay
anything for the non existent service. My first exploratory call was
insistent that my contract started in December (that's another
30squiddlies in penalty fees!!!!!).

Yep I got my invite today...........

It replaces the free annual share allocation so one benefit lost to be
replaced by another

But as we all know the Tax laws appear to change at whim.....

Home parkers are supposed to login 20 minutes early & get to the first
job by signing on time, likewise to sign off & this was for tax
reasons

The taw laws have changed now (or is it just interpretation) so it's
not a work around for tax reasons now, it's just BT being bloody
greedy
