I am experiencing very slow internet access today so I went to look at the
MN-500 basestation log. There are apparent attempts to get to my network as I
see repeated (like every few seconds) the following in the log:

2006/05/04 20:18:41 Connection attempt to base station from WAN blocked --
src:<64.12.161.131:5190> dst:<71.112.33.120:1327>

I set the ping option to disallow pings but I still get the above along with
the following:

2006/05/04 20:18:18 Client filtering settings blocked connection from IP
address <71.114.2.111>

Anyone know what's up? Is someone trying to hack in?

Thanks,
Rick

That's your firewall on the base station blocking external access attempts.
Perfectly normal, and a good thing you're protected. There are more nasty
people on the Internet than you might think.
