It sounds like you jumped right into using WEP. Try getting the devices to
talk with factory default settings, then change just one thing at a time in
all your devices. When one of your changes breaks the connection, you'll
know which setting causes the problem. One other thing though. I tried
this method using a wireless router, access point, and PCI adapter, all from
Belkin. After making a couple of changes, the connection broke and I
thought I had found which setting was the problem. Actually, due a bug in
the router, it was happier when I re-booted the router after certain
changes. There was no indication that re-booting was called for, but it
worked.
